Here's the backstory; My original Xbox is model 1.0. It has a fan + GPU heatsink rather than a fanless one like all versions after that. I saw an Xbox tonight at my local thrift store and thought that maybe if it's a newer model than mine, I can take out the heatsink and replace mine. This brings me to my question, how can I tell which model it is by the serial number? Manufacture Date. There's only 2 stickers on the unit. A white one with only the serial number on it and a big black one on the back of the unit (when its standing veritical). The big black one has the date on it in a highlighted box. Crck Yeah the European ones just have a 'Date Code' which i have no idea how to find out the date of manufacture just from '7A'.

- First thing you do call psn (800-345-7669) after that keep hitting 2 on your dial pad. Once you get a agent you can do one of the two ways. 1.ask for someone who speaks spanish(they are easier to SE) 2.Tell them your account got hacked, ps3 got restored make up a reason. After that they will ask for your psn,name,and email. Give them the psn name you want to jack , then make up a fake name and email. The agent would say im sorry but the email is not matching to the account , do you have the original console you created your account? This is where you say Yes and give them a fake serial (ex: cg162174830-cech-2001a) the serial starts with 2 letters after that is 9 numbers. Once you give them that you have to pray they don't check the serial number,Most of them do check but some of the agents are lazy and don't check it. If they don't check it they would ask can i get a email that is not used on playstation or can i get the new email you want to put on this account and it not used on any playstation account. This is where you give them a new email that you want them to change it too. and now there your OG account ....... This is the main method most people use to get USA accounts. it will take more then one try unless your lucky on your first.

You then say this all i have is the psn , my supervisor told me to call and for you to look it up for us because our tool is down. The agent would then ask for the psn , you give them that they would look it up. The agent would ask what information do you need.You can say can i get the email,serial,dob,name etc... But i recommend you getting the serial number.If they not willing to give the serial number you can say please hold on let me put my supervisor on. Put your 'supervisor' on and say hello im the supervisor on duty my name is _______ my agent said your not able to give/change us the information we need/want. At this point they would either say im sorry due to privacy we can't release information over the phone(just hang up and call again) or they would read you the serial or change the email. If you ask for the email change you can just call back and give them the online id ,email and fake name and say your system restored can i get a password reset i forgot my date of birth, they would then reset the password and send a reset link to your email.
